On September 10, Chinese publisher Tencent totalled that Cross Fire, a military FPS developed by Smile Gate and serviced by Neowiz Games, hit 2 million concurrent users on August. This inspirational moment, achieved just five months after the 1.8 million concurrent user mark on March, was contributed with China’s largest game portal Tencent’s know-how and aggressive marketing. Neowiz Games’ chief of publishing business Kim, Jung-Hoon stated that service stability, based on the great collaboration between Neowiz Games, Smile Gate and Tencent, brought up such record.
Currently serviced in nine countries (Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Russia, USA, Canada and UK) and soon-to-be-launched Taiwan, Cross Fire thoroughly updated local users’ flavors based on market research. Thus far, in China, one million concurrent users on last April radically doubled into current status, thanks to summer vacation-led sweeping updates in contents and events.
